Phone Card Regulations Proposed
(Sacramento) — Thousands of pre-paid phone cards are bought every year but there are no regulations to insure the consumer gets what they paid for. California State Assemblymember Hector de la Torre (D-South Gate) is pushing legislation through the state capitol to make sure consumers don’t get ripped off by unscrupulous phone card sellers. Assembly Bill 2885 would regulate the phone card companies the same way land line and cell phone companies are regulated. Here’s more in this Assembly Web Report.

Exploring a found pre-paid cell phone
I happened to stumble upon an older pre-paid cell phone and decided to take a video of my findings. I then called a couple of numbers on the cell phone and returned it to it’s rightful owner. Needless to say, she was very thankful. Lesson learned - if you set your cell phone down on a store shelf, don’t forget to pick it back up
